Not very long before, but only just a few weeks ago, I heard from my co-passenger in the bus about a newly established church, near to a place by which I have to pass daily two or more times a day. She was happy to say to her friend that her family had offered a miniature golden cross to the church. And from her words I got the real picture that it was an offering as a sort of thanks giving.
The question which came to my mind by the next moment was and which is going through my mind even now is that 'does our god ever ask for such a costly golden gift? Is god a power who gets satisfied with what man thinks to be really of cost?'
The case is a very general one. Though we pretend to be the most modern in thoughts and views, I must clearly say that man is in an evil darkness. He is spiritually not yet grown up....he is a kid, hearing only the words of his siblings, but not of the LORD who created him, the world and everything around him.
Father never asks money for his child's smile. And the only thing that the father wants is, his son to be always well, in all aspects. What he wants from his child is not money or fame, but only his love for back. And for the LORD whose love is never-ending and unconditional, how can man replace it with a piece of offering?
Never our god who created us will be happy with our silly offerings. Give your ears....he is calling you...just to say that he has been over treated with such priceless offerings. Give your ears to hear the real words of him. He might be asking you something he really wants. That might be to seat a crying kid, who needs love and care, but no one to, on your lap or it might be to love a mother who has been left by her son, or it might be to give drop of water for the thirsty or food to the hungry, or care for the neglected, or some love left for those who suffer to the most with their life. A word of comfort is enough to hold a paining heart from letting down, a caring look at the eyes of the crying can bring them new hopes.
Every human is our sibling and none of them should be thrown beside. Like you and me everyone has the right to love and right to be loved. Extend your hands to those who really need it...with a heart of pure thoughts and wishes and ultimately with complete satisfaction and dedication...and there lies the real token of thanks giving to our father... No doubt that he would be happy to see his children living, loving each other.....
